JB: I wanna talk about first meeting...(smiling) Miss Kate.
    I remember we were just starting to get ready to shoot the pilot
    and my husband and I were in the elevator -- and we had met almost
    all the other cast members and we were wondering, 'my gosh, I wonder
    what Shane looks like?'. And Kate got in the elevator and she goes...
    she goes, “Hi, are you Jennifer?” And I said yeah. She goes, (deep,
    velvety voice) “Hi, I'm Kate.” And she shook my hand –
Ilene: (laughing) Just like that.
JB: Yeah, (deep, velvety voice) “Hi, I'm Kate.” And, uh, we talked about
    the show for a little bit, but she didn't say who she played or anything.
    And then she got out of the elevator – she did the most... ohh, gosh,
    I can't even describe it – it's like -- elegant and cool and grounded.
    And then she gives you, like, this cool little peace sign and she goes,
    (deep, velvety voice) “Peace.” (Ilene chuckles, JB chuckles) To me.
    Uhh, and I was just like, “That is the coolest person I've ever met in
    my  whole life.” And my husband and I just turned to each other and just
    both, at the same time, went, “Shane. That's Shane.”

Ilene: I remember you talking to me about her, too, when you first met her
       and saying, “She makes me feel, like, so...”
JB: So uncool. (laughing)
Ilene: And, of course, she's not that at all, she really is incredibly
       sweet and accessible --
JB: Oh, and so vulnerable -- and sweet, yeah.
Ilene: But yet she embodies cool.
JB: Oh, she does.
