Gackt : Konbanwa, Gackt desu. ( Gackt was so cool ~~~ )
Prima : Why do you decide to start your solo work?
Is it because you can have more freedom?
Gackt : I can have more freedom when composing songs.
In the past, we made the music together.
By now I do all the music by myself.
It's the world of mine only.
Prima : Are there any changes after you started your solo work?
Gackt : There aren't big changes actually.
All the thoughts of making music are in my mind and body.
I can make music personally now which I couldn't do when
I was in the band.
Prima : "Gackt" is a very special name. What's the meaning of it?
Gackt : It means "the struggle between human and music/songs"
Prima : Can you tell us something about making new album?
Gackt : Staffs from Japan and America worked together this time.
So we had many good effects no matter on culture or language.
The songs can reflect what I want to show to others and they
could understand my mind.
Prima : Mizerable was on the 2nd place of the Oricon chart.
Besides happiness, what did you feel about it?
Gackt : In my opinion, there's no order in music.
It doesn't matter whether it's no.1 or no.2.
We should aim at the feeling after hearing the songs.
Then we can judge that it's good or not.
We should not use the selling amount to show the quality of music.
Prima : The song "Story" in the album are written in French.
Is is come from you?? Do you know French?
Gackt : I'm not very good at French.
In fact I want to learn more languages to communicate to people of
different countries. I want to learn Cantonese,
Mandarin and Korean at the moment.
Prima : What do you think "visual rock" is?
Gackt : We should not say that visual rock is the makeup and outlook
of a musician only. It isn't visual rock. Visual rock is the
mixing of makeup, clothing and songs on stage.
Prima : We know that you like the movie "FACE OFF".
do you like action movie?
Gackt : daisuki.^^ (Gackt smiles for the first time during the interview)
Prima : The director of Face Off is a Hongkongese.
Do you like watching Hong Kong's films?
Gackt : I'll pay attention to the actors, not the directors.
I've watched some Hong Kong's films.
Actually I'm interested in acting.
I want to act no matter in Japanese for Hong Kong's films.
( The movie must be great !!! Gackt chan^^)
Prima : What do you think about Hong Kong?
Gackt : I think that Hong Kong people speak Cantonese in a very high speed.
I like Cantonese and it sounds loud.
But it's really a quite difficult language.
Prima : What did you do on the past two days after you have arrived?
Gackt : The work started immediately. So I didn't have much time but
there's still some time that I could think of other things.
Prima : Do you like the Chinese food?
Gackt : Oh yes, oishii!! I like Chinese food but I can't eat much this
time because of the work of taking photos. Maybe I can eat more
next time when I come by myself. ^^
Prima : When will you come to Hong Kong again? Will you hold a concert?
Gackt : I think Hong Kong is an interesting place and many Hong Kong fans
have written me some letters via interent. I'm happy that I'm much
closer to the fans overseas.
Prima : I'm so happy to talk to Gackt today. Arigatougozaimasu.^^
