I'm not sure. I've never heard this here.
But, I can be sure that it could also mean "Microsoft Word",
which he use it to help him write a rap song (Thesaurus).

自己回自己很久以前問的文.....
我總算在Friends以外的地方聽到問句後面接"word"的對話了!!!!
其實已經有板友回過文說Chandler的"word"是"yes"的意思,
可是我來美國唸書五年了,從來沒有在現實生活聽過人家這樣講......
前幾天在電視上看了一部電影叫Drum Line,是在講大學Marching Band的故事,
背景是喬治亞州的黑人大學(學生絕大多數為黑人的大學),
男主角(黑人,大一新生)在回答教授的問話時,講了"word, I mean, yeah"
看來這的確是青少年次文化的講法^^
