納粹的那段話，原譯如下：

「德國牧師馬丁尼莫拉（Martin Niemoller, 1892-1984）在二次世界大戰結束後的反省，
這段話銘刻於石碑豎立在美國波士頓的The New England Holocaust Memorial 中：
"當初他們先殺共產黨，我沒有作聲，因為我不是共產黨；接著他們殺猶太人，我仍然
保持沈默，因為我不是猶太人；再來他們殺工會會員，我沒有作聲，因為我不是工會會
員；後來他們殺天主教徒，我沒有作聲，因為我不是天主教徒；最後，當他們開始對付
我時，已經沒有人為我講話了。"

"First, they came for the communists,
and I did not speak out because I was not a communist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a protestant.
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me."
