The A’s have announced (on Twitter) they have designated outfielder Nick Buss
for assignment. The move clears roster space in the wake of the Jeff Samardzija
/Jason Hammel trade.
The A’s claimed Buss off waivers from the Dodgers in May. The 27-year-old
has a combined Triple-A slash of .270/.330/.391 in 354 plate appearances
between the A’s and Dodgers affiliates.
