OAKLAND, Calif. — The subject of what to do against Oakland has been on the
mind of Rangers right-hander Yu Darvish for some time.
Darvish is 1-7 with a 4.73 ERA against the Athletics going into a start at the
Coliseum on Tuesday night. Oakland is the only club that Darvish is more than
one game under .500 against during his career in Nippon Pro Baseball and Major
League Baseball.

達爾目前腦中唯一課題就是在想怎樣對付運動家

Darvish, speaking through an interpreter, acknowledged Hall of Famer and club
special assistant Greg Maddux brought up the subject of a nemesis team in a
conversation last year.
Maddux told Darvish about going 3-11 with a 5.37 ERA for 20 career starts
against Arizona. The Diamondbacks were the only club that Maddux was more than
two games under .500 against in his career.
“Just the fact that a great pitcher like him had a team that he didn’t have
any good numbers against, that alleviated my thoughts,” said Darvish, who
worked a career-low 31/3 innings in his last start against Oakland on April 28.

 Darvish was asked if he had grown to dislike the Athletics.
“I love them,” he said in a rare outburst of humor.


被問到是不是越來越討厭綠帽了?
他少見冷不防幽默的 : 「I love them」
