標題[文法] 關於關係副詞Where的用法?

我常看到文章有兩種用法
第一Ex:
this is the place where people can hang out together and have fun.
第二Ex:
let's start with a simple financial balance sheet, where we estimate the
intrinsic value of operating assets.
我知道第一種用法where是要補充place 像是in which
但是第二種是要補充整個句子嗎? 為什麼需要逗點? 感覺上也可以只針對financial
balance sheet補充啊
這個差別困惑我好久，
