: 對於台灣政府於三月二十四日凌晨調派鎮暴部隊於行政院清場，並利用暴力驅趕反對黑箱服貿的學生，我們感到極度失望，特此致函反對以暴力鎮壓學生。 我們明白台灣社會大眾或不同政黨對服貿協議有不同立場，然而，一民主政體之權力乃由民眾賦予，政府之決策應先以民眾之安全為依歸。無論服貿協議以後為臺灣帶來多大經濟利益，在社會運動中以暴力對待學生的生命，無疑是捨本逐末。同在華人社會，身為香港中文大學的一份子，我們對台灣同學的安危表示高度關注，強烈反對台灣政府武力對付學生。

: To Taiwan government:
: We are extremely disappointed by the Taiwan government’s deployment of violence to evict the students from the Executive Yuan in the early morning of March 24. We understand that different people or political parties in Taiwan may have different viewpoints on the Cross-Strait Agreement on Trade in Service. However, the power of a government is from the people and for the people. Public safety must be the highest priority in making public decision. No matter how important economically the free trade
: agreement can be, it cannot justify any violence against the peaceful protest of the students. As members of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in the larger Chinese community, we express our greatest concern for the safety of the students in Taiwan, and our strong objection to the Taiwan government’s use of force and violence against students.

其實滿多有關反服貿新聞的

在地鐵火車播放的新聞也都有

甚至有新聞說香港政府也有點緊張

如果香港人包圍他們的立法院

政府絕對阻擋不了
