Jeremy Lin's, benching on the other hand, comes as somewhat of a surprise.
Sure he has struggled to play consistently for the Lakers this season, but
they have so little depth at the point guard spot, (especially with Nash's
season ending injury) that nobody should have expected Ronnie Price to win
over the job. Really, it doesn't matter who the Lakers are starting this
season, as they are likely to completely reshape their roster in the off
season. Being the big market team in LA allows the Lakers to go after big
name free agents, and with Kobe in his last season next year, there is a good
chance that the Lakers front office has big ambitions for the 2015 off
season.

下放林書豪到板凳讓人有些意外, 當然啦他本季來湖人後表現的不夠穩定, 但控衛這
位置湖人實在是沒啥深度可言, 以致於不會有人預期Price會贏得先發PG的位置, 但事
實上, 這位置湖人要給誰先發真的已經不重要了, 因為他們看來很像已經準備好要在
明年夏天重整陣容, 身為一支大市場球隊, 湖人口袋夠深能追逐些大牌來給最後一年
的Kobe....使用, 2015即將展開湖人經營團隊的野望

For now, the Lakers appear ready to concede this season and focus on finding
some young talent amongst their horribly inconsistent roster. The next player
likely to be benched is Wesley Johnson (possibly in favor of Nick Young). It
remains to be seen whether these are permanent demotions for Jeremy Lin and
Carlos Boozer, but given their struggles so far this season, it is pretty
likely that they will continue to ride the bench.

現在湖人差不多已經要承認本季的失敗 and 轉身去找其他年輕有天賦的新人, 雖然林
書豪跟Boozer下放板凳的決定還不確定是否真的會一路冰到季末, 但很可能真的這樣搞
