[問題] 幫我看這句獨立奪格

itaque convocatis centurionibus milites certiores facit (B. G iii. 5)


英文翻譯: and so, having called the centurions together, he informs the soldiers
 (the centurions having been called together)

1. 想請問獨立奪格的部分是指convocatis centurionibus (召集百人長)嗎?

   提醒一下: 這邊的convocatis是被動分詞的abl，所以正確翻法是藉由百人長被召集...
             如果是主動分詞(convocans)的abl,只有convocate/convocati兩種寫法

2. certiores我查是certus的比較級，這邊怎麼翻成inform?

3. 問一個很蠢的問題，名言後面寫的出處常是縮略字，有沒有表可以查啊?

推 adrianus:我覺得 2.是 facio + 名詞賓格 + 形容詞 的形式
→ adrianus:意思是「使～知道、使～確信」，因此才翻譯成 inform
→ ewayne:那就變成沒有翻譯certiores了
→ ewayne:這句應該是抓高盧戰記的，google一下英文翻譯，常見到的是
→ ewayne:he quickly gives orders to the soldiers...
→ ewayne:但也有看到certiorem facere用於法律的時候就會譯為inform
→ ewayne:不過那是帝國時期的法律用語...
→ ewayne:Gildersleeve's Latin Grammar,p239將這個片語就譯為inform
→ ewayne:還註明always in Caesar
推 adrianus:certiores 就是我句型裏的形容詞，跟著賓格名詞變化
→ komaskalas:很多名/形容詞字根+ -are(第一類動詞標準變化)
→ komaskalas:意思就是等同於該 名/形容詞(acc.)+facere
→ komaskalas:所以certiorem facere=certiorare
