Red Sox temporarily replace Uehara as closer<

襪子暫時拔掉上原終結者位置

   BOSTON (AP) _ Koji Uehara has been removed temporarily from his closer's
role with the Boston Red Sox.

    The move comes one day after Uehara allowed solo homers by Mark Teixeira
and Chase Headley in the ninth inning that lifted the New York Yankees to a
5-4 win. It was Uehara's third loss in five outings and his third straight
blown save opportunity.

    Manager John Farrell says Edward Mujica will become the closer. He also
says Uehara has no physical ailments and is not being shut down for the
season.

    Last year, Uehara was 4-1 with a 1.09 ERA and 21 saves in 24
opportunities. In the postseason, he was 1-1 with a 0.68 ERA and seven saves
in seven chances as Boston won its third championship since 2004.
