Strengths

＊ Motor & Energy ─ 拼命三郎型球員，不畏懼撲到地上救球、保護play繼續延續下去；
                     是個優異的進攻籃板機器(5.0 OReb/40 min)，可以搶到被別人掌
                     管區域的籃板；攻守兩端都打出winning play，回防也很盡力。

   - Play with max effort all the time - does the little things
   - Dives on the floor, keeps plays alive, REBs outside area
   - Excellent offensive rebounder - 5.0 O Boardsper 40 min
   - Hustle back on D - makes winning plays on both end


＊ Physicality ─ 雖然身高對NBA中鋒來說太矮，但是噸位夠大(265磅)；攻守兩端的體
                  能表現優異，掩護能力強；不畏懼籃下的碰撞，防守上願意和對手打
                  肉搏戰、攻擊上則是能在碰撞之下完成play。

                  McGary在掩護方面相當的硬，可以紮實擋下對手後衛迫使對方錯位防
                  守。

   - Undersized for an NBA C but has good strength - 265 lbs
   - Very physical player on both ends - sets strong screens
   - Holds his own as a post defender - willing to battle
   - Can finish through contact - won't shy away at the rim


＊ Basketball IQ ─ 攻守方面都打得很聰明；並擁有優秀的傳導能力。具有團隊防守
                    意識，適時輪轉、補防並讓對手犯規。有預估對手的傳球路徑的
                    優異直覺，2.2抄截/40分鐘是DX Top 100中鋒中的第一名。

   - Very intellegentplayer on both offense and defense
   - Showed passing distincts in NCAA Tourney - 6 AST vs SYR
   - Good anticipation on defense, fights around in the post
   - Smart team defender - will rotate and take a charge


＊ Mobility ─ 對這個噸位的中鋒來說移動性很不錯；腳步靈活，可以溜出防守、掩護
               或是搭配跑P/R(佔21.3%)、跑快攻(10.5%、1.36PPP)。

               McGary是打P/R的好幫手，可以迅速逃出掩護後快速的殺進籃下，
               1.095PPP。防守P/R方面也很靈活，可以逃出掩護、繼續施壓持球者。

   - Has all the tools to be a serviceable NBA big man
   - Will get on floor because of his energy/motor
   - Is going to do the little things & REB/Defend his position
   - Doesn't need the ball in his hand, OK playing a role


Weakness

＊ Post Game ─ 鉤射的能力和範圍不佳，有時會無視防守狀態硬跳；背框單打能力差
                ，對攻擊的感覺不大優。

   - Not a threat to score on the block - 5.7% of offense
   - Scored only 4 buckets out of post up situations all year
   - Doesn't have a reliable jump hook - settles for jumpers
   - Lacks great feel - uses ball fakes when he shouldn't


＊ Shooting Stroke ─ 投籃覆蓋範圍相當小，罰球僅44%；常常在禁區外亂跳投。有機
                      會變成更穩定的射手，成功的話將能打開他的攻擊火力。

   - Showed flashes but can become a more reliable shooter
   - Very limited range - made only 44% of his free throws
   - Attempted quite a few jumpers out of the post
   - Improving as a shooter would open up his offensive game


＊ Undersized Center ─ 大多打中鋒而非PF，顯得矮了點─因此在禁區防守相當吃虧
                        (密西根的對手在禁區的命中率非常高，主因是McGary不善保
                        護籃底)；火鍋能力不高(DX Top 100 C中倒數第四)；雖然機
                        動性佳，但因跳躍力不足再加上本來就比較矮一點，在籃下
                        finish的能力不佳─很容易被對手打火鍋。

                        另外，雖然McGary的腳步靈活，但防守上容易被靈活的PF突
                        破。

   - Game more in the mode of an undersized C, not a PF
   - Not a shot blocker/rim protector - 1.5 BLK per 40 min
   - Struggles contesting shots in the post because of size
   - Below the rim finisher due to size and AVG explosion


＊ Limited Upside ─ 較同梯大兩歲，因注意力不足過動症而導致學習上的障礙；且是
                     否僅止於NBA的綠葉球員？

   - Two years older than most of the players in his class
   - Had academic issues due to his ADD that held him back
   - Can he develop into more than an NBA role player?
   - Is a role player worth a Top 10 pick in a loaded draft?

＊ New Role ─ 過度仰賴"pick & roll"和切入；掌握球權的時間很短。

   - 41.2 of OFF came out of "pick & roll" and "cuts"
   - Will he be as effective without Burke getting him dunks?
   - Used only 10% of team's possesions - can he create?
   - Was very AVG until March. Will he play like he did in March?
