Bologna, Italy, is set to host the Blind Baseball European Championship 2023 on
October 7 and 8 at the Casteldebole baseball field.

Five national squads - France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, and the Netherland
s - are taking the field for the inaugural Blind Baseball European Championship.

The Opening Round of the event will take place on Saturday, October 7, and the P
layoffs on Sunday, October 8.

ll and Softball Federation (FIBS) and WBSC Europe, worked hard to achieve what h
as been defined as "an important milestone along our Paralympic journey" by Albe
rto Mazzanti, AIBXC President.

WBSC Europe Leadership is enthusiastic about the inclusion of this parasport com
petition in the portfolio of its events, following the WBSC Blind Baseball Inter
national Cup 2022, held in Beek, Netherlands, where five of the six participants
 were European.
