Dominican Republic clinch LA28 Olympic berth
這屆WBC同時也是美洲的奧運資格賽
扣除美國的前兩名直接晉級奧運
由於預賽多明尼加4戰全勝，目前戰績5-0
波多黎各與委內瑞拉預賽都是3-1
假設兩隊明天都獲勝晉級四強
即使多明尼加4強落敗，也能因為較優的整體戰績
確保本屆WBC第3名(美國冠或亞軍)，獲得進軍奧運的機會
