Former Red Sox manager Alex Cora addressed the departure of Rafael Devers, admit
ting the organization could have handled the situation much better.
Cora承認當初球團在跟Devers的溝通上
的確可以做到更好
讓整體狀況不至於發展至此
“It’s one of those situations where, as a group, we could’ve done a much bett
er job communicating,” Cora said. “We should’ve sat him down and laid it out
clearly: This is the situation, these are the directions we’re exploring. We do
n’t see you as our third baseman of the future. That’s it.”
Cora說整個團隊本該在溝通上做得更好

並向他把話說清楚
現在的情況是這樣

Cora emphasized that no one told Devers to throw his glove away, calling that pa
rt “bullshit.” However, he acknowledged that everything changed after the team
signed Alex Bregman and Triston Casas got hurt.
Cora強調根本沒人讓Devers把手套收起來
說從頭到尾這趴根本是「bullshit」
但他承認在球隊簽下Bergman
還有Casas受大傷後很多事情都改變了
“Looking back, I know we should’ve been upfront with him from the start of the
offseason,” Cora continued. “We needed to have those real conversations. Thos
e talks never happened.”
現在回過頭來看
我們應該從休賽季一開始就對他坦白
我們當時需要進行那些真正的內心對話
但那些談話從未發生過
