在洋基隊做今天的賽前準備時，一位球員開了個應景的玩笑。
「我們在美國獨立紀念日這天用來自英國的傢伙擔任先發。」
這句玩笑話雖然不完全正確，但卻預示了洋基在獨立日的敗仗，他們慘遭雙城隊轟炸，全場
被打了6支全壘打。
As the #Yankees prepared to play on the United States’ 250th birthday, one play
er cracked a timely joke.
“We’ve got the guy from Great Britain pitching on the Fourth of July.”
That quip, while not entirely accurate, preceded an Independence Day defeat for
the Yanks, who were bombarded by a #Twins team that hit 6 homers.
