Lai helped Chinese Taipei win a bronze medal at the 2025 U-18 World Cup in Japan
 last September, striking out 14 batters in seven relief innings. Nine months la
ter, he became the third Taiwanese player ever to sign with the Yankees, turning
 pro for $872,500. That's the highest bonus given to a right-hander and the seco
nd-highest among pitchers in the 2026 international class.

賴 去年9月在日本舉行的 2025 年 U-18 世界盃幫助中華台北隊拿下銅牌。他以後援投手身
分出賽 7 局，送出 14 次三振。9 個月後，他成為史上第 3 位與紐約洋基隊簽約的台灣球
員，以 87 萬 2,500 美元的簽約金加入職棒。這不僅是 2026 年國際球員右投最高簽約金
，也是同屆所有投手第 2 高。

Lai sits in the low 90s and tops out at 95 mph with heavy sink and armside run o
n his fastball. His best offering is a mid-70s curveball that can leave hitters
looking foolish when they chase it while it falls out of the strike zone. He als
o demonstrates feel for an upper-70s slider, while his low-80s changeup lacks co
nsistency but features promising fade.

賴的速球球速大約落在 90 英里初段，最快可達 95 英里，球質具有強烈下沉以及朝手臂側
移動的特性。他最好的武器是一顆約 70 英里中段的曲球，當打者追打、球在好球帶外下墜
時，往往能讓打者揮空並顯得狼狽。他也展現出掌握 70 英里後段滑球的能力；至於 80 英
里初段的變速球，目前穩定性仍不足，但具備很有潛力的尾勁變化。

At 6-foot and 180 pounds, Lai doesn't have a ton of projection remaining. But he
's more advanced than most teenage pitchers, showing the potential to throw stri
kes and get outs with four different pitches. New York excels at helping pitcher
s upgrade their stuff, so he could add fastball velocity and develop a plus curv
eball by the time he's a finished product.

賴身高 6 呎、體重 180 磅，因此未來在身材條件上的成長空間並不算大。不過，相較於大
多數青少年投手，他的投球成熟度更高，展現出使用 4 種不同球路取得好球並解決打者的
潛力。洋基隊向來擅長協助投手提升球威，因此等他完全養成時，有機會增加速球球速，並
將曲球發展成具備聯盟平均以上威力的武器。
