As we continue to look at starting pitching options to fill out the back of th
e starting rotation for the Atlanta Braves, a familiar name could actually wor
k.

勇勇持續在找SP來讓SP更完整，這熟悉的名字是OK的。

I’ll be the first to admit, when the season ended and I started to look at im
pending free agents, I was among the group that said “good riddance” to Drew
 Smyly.

我第一個承認，當球季結束然後FA市場要來時，我是其中一個說終於可以擺脫Smyly了。


But as I also stated several times throughout the 2021 season, it wasn’t just
 Smyly’s performance at times that frustrated me, it’s the $11 million they
committed to him.

我也在2021球季中說了幾次，不是Smyly的表現讓我沮喪，是這個付出去的11M。

When you make that type of financial commitment — even for one year — to a s
tarting pitcher you’re expecting him to at least be a middle-of-the-rotation
pitcher.

當你做了個這樣的簽約，就算只有1年，但你還是期待他至少是個中段輪值。

It became pretty obvious Smyly at best is a number four.

但非常明顯Smyly最好就是個4號。

On the season he had a 4.48 ERA in 126.2 innings with 117 strikeouts and a WHI
P of 1.37.

他整季ERA4.48，126.2局(有點少)。117K。WHIP是1.37。


And he had a good stretch between May and July with a 3.26 ERA in 13 starts wi
th 59 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.29.

他在5~7月有不錯的表現，13次先發ERA只有3.26。59K與1.29的WHIP。

However, it was pretty obvious he couldn’t get through a lineup a second or t
hird time as he consistently only lasted four or five innings.

無論如何，很明顯他的投球在第二輪與第三輪就會遇到問題，他就是4~5局的SP。

隨便亂寫。

SP這樣不會有問題嗎？

但5M簽Smyly如何？

→ Parazicecum : 覺得5M可以一試 但手頭緊的話不簽也很正常
