[消息] Brewers trade OF Khris Davis to A's

The rebuilding Milwaukee Brewers continue making moves for the future.

The club announced Friday it has traded outfielder Khris Davis to the Oakland
Athletics for catching prospect Jacob Nottingham and right-handed pitching
prospect Bowdien "Bubba" Derby.

In three years with the Brewers, the 28-year-old Davis was a steady producer
in Milwaukee's lineup, averaging 24 home runs and 68 RBI at a .245 clip over
the past two seasons. Davis is not eligible for free agency until after the
2019 season.

The move comes as the Brewers undertake a full-fledged rebuilding project,
which recently has resulted in the trades of outfielder Carlos Gomez,
shortstop Jean Segura and first baseman Adam Lind, among other moves.

Both prospects the Brewers received from the A's have yet to garner any
major-league experience.

Nottingham, who was drafted by the Houston Astros in the sixth round of the
2013 amateur draft, joined the A's organization via the trade that sent
left-hander Scott Kazmir to the Astros at the non-waiver trade deadline this
past season.

The 20-year-old California native experienced a breakthrough at the plate in
the minors last season, hitting .316/.372/.505 with 17 home runs and 82 RBI
in 119 games.

Nottingham was the top-ranked catcher in the A's organization and ranked
eighth among all their prospects, per MLB.com.

Derby doesn't appear on the top prospects list, but he garnered some
attention last year in the A's organization with his performance after being
drafted in 2015 out of San Diego State.

In a combined 14 appearances in Class-A short season and rookie ball, 10 of
which were starts, the 21-year-old right-hander posted a 1.21 ERA with 47
strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings.

As for Davis' role on the A's, it appears as though he will continue to play
left field, with current A's left fielder Coco Crisp playing a hybrid role in
the outfield or primarily serving as a reserve left fielder.



Davis剛打出生涯年，2015年曾有單月十轟的表現

2020年才會進入FA。

不過同樣2020年才會進入FA的Fiers也被交易了，

看來球團認為現在是適合賣出Davis的時機點。



雖然賣的是有點便宜，

但Nottingham評價不錯，


Nottingham本來是太空人選的新秀

看來GM真的有蒐集太空人球員的嗜好...


而且站著Davis、Santana、Braun的外野洞太大，

投手會哭...
