GTA 6's PS5 Version Won't Be Available In Most Countries Because Of Region

Grand Theft Auto 6 won't be available in countries that don't yet have access
to the PlayStation Network (PSN) - a list that includes over 120 countries.
《俠盜獵車手6》將不會在尚未開通PlayStation Network（PSN）服務的國家/地區發售－
目前已有超過120個國家無法存取該服務。


This is because of a combination of factors, the most pressing of which is
Rockstar's decision to release GTA 6 as a digital-only product. This means
there won't be discs containing the game's data, and boxed versions will
instead contain download codes.
這是多種因素共同作用的結果，其中最迫切的原因是 Rockstar 決定將 GTA 6 作為純數
位版產品發行。這意味著不會有包含遊戲資料的光碟，盒裝版將只包含下載碼。


Second, the PS5 version of GTA 6 will be region-locked. This means that these
download codes won't work for players in countries without access to the PSN,
unless they spoof an account in an eligible country; a loophole that's widely
used but is actually against PlayStation's End-User License Agreement (EULA)
and is punishable by banning.
其次，PS5 版 GTA 6 將實施區域鎖定。這意味著，除非玩家偽造一個符合條件的國家/地
區的帳號，否則這些下載碼對於無法訪問 PSN 的國家/地區的玩家將無法使用；這種漏洞

"The digital download code for Grand Theft Auto 6 works differently depending
on the platform and country of purchase. It is recommended that you buy and
play from a retailer that is in the country of your platform account to avoid
potential activation problems," reads Rockstar's support website.
Rockstar 的支援網站上寫道：“《俠盜獵車手6》的數位下載碼會因平台和購買國家/地
區的不同而有不同的使用方式。建議您從您平台帳戶所在國家/地區的零售商處購買和遊
玩，以避免潛在的激活問題。”


The message goes on to say that download codes from the following regions can
only be redeemed by accounts registered in the countries subsequently listed.
該消息還指出，來自以下地區的下載碼只能在隨後列出的國家/地區註冊的帳戶中兌換。


It won't be a major issue because most people outside the above regions
already have accounts registered in different countries - this is a common
problem with the PlayStation Network and users have adapted.

In a rare win for the green brand, the Xbox Series X/S won't have any
region-locking restrictions. Xbox users will be able to preload and play
regardless of where they're located in the world.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release on November 19 for Xbox Series X/S and
PlayStation 5.
