路加福音19:41-44
耶穌臨近的時候，望見京城，便哀哭她說：
「恨不能在這一天，你也知道有關你平安的事；
但這事如今在你眼前是隱藏的。
的確，日子將臨於你，你的仇敵要在你四周築起壁壘，
包圍你，四面窘困你；
又要蕩平你，及在你內的子民；在你內決不留一塊石頭在另一塊石頭上，
因為你沒有認識眷顧你的時期。」
41 As he drew near （距離拉近，draw drew drawn）and came in sight of the
city he shed（流瀉） tears over it
42 and said, 'If you too had only recognised（認出） on this day the way to
peace! But in fact it is hidden from your eyes!
43 Yes, a time is coming when your enemies will raise
fortifications（防禦工事） all round you, when they will
encircle（包圍） you and hem（圍繞） you in on every side;
44 they will dash（猛擲、猛撞） you and the children
inside your walls to the ground;
they will leave not one stone standing on another within you,
because you did not recognise the moment of
your visitation（禍福之降臨）.'
