路加福音19:45-48
耶穌進了殿院，開始把買賣人趕出去。對他們說：
「經上記載：我的殿宇應是祈禱之所，而你們竟把它做了賊窩。」
耶穌每天在聖殿內施教。司祭長及經師並人民的首領，
設法要除掉他；但是尋不出什麼辦法，因為眾百姓都傾心聽他。
45 Then he went into the Temple and began driving out those
who were busy trading, saying to them,
46 'According to scripture, my house shall be a house of
prayer but you have turned it into a bandits' den.'
47 He taught in the Temple every day. The chief priests
and the scribes, in company with the leading citizens,
tried to do away with him,
48 but they could not find a way to carry this out because
the whole people hung on his words.
