This week's headline-grabbing performance comes courtesy of Ian Maatsen,
who is enjoying an excellent start to life at Turf Moor with Burnley. The
Clarets are unbeaten in nine matches in all competitions and currently sit
fourth in the Championship table under new boss Vincent Kompany.
Starting once again at left-back, the 20-year-old delivered the cross for
Nathan Tella's opener early in the second half away at Cardiff City,
returning a deep centre from the opposite flank back into the six-yard box
for his team-mate to dispatch.

It was his fourth scoresheet involvement (one goal, three assists) in nine
Championship appearances so far this season, yet the visitors were denied
all three points when Callum Robinson equalised in the final minute of
normal time.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Hull City parted company with manager Shota
Arveladze on Friday before going down to a 2-0 loss to Luton Town.

Baxter in goal for Hull this weekend
Nathan Baxter was in goal for the Tigers, who have now lost five games in
a row, while Harvey Vale and Xavier Simons both missed out. Dujon Sterling
and Stoke City were also on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat to Watford.
On the continent, Malang Sarr came off the bench for the final 24 minutes
to help Monaco see out a big win over Nantes in Ligue 1. The defender was
introduced for the latter stages as his side registered a 4-1 victory and
stay sixth.
Ethan Ampadu featured in the back three for Spezia in a 4-0 defeat at
Maurizio Sarri's Lazio, while Callum Hudson-Odoi and Bayer Leverkusen
were also on the wrong end of that same scoreline to Bayern Munich in the
Bundesliga.

The forward was deployed in the number 10 position on a difficult evening
for Bayer, who have now dropped into the bottom two.

Returning to England, Lucas Bergstrom and Jamie Cumming were between the
posts at opposite ends of the field as Peterborough United and MK Dons
went head-to-head in League One this weekend. The Posh came out on top
with a 3-2 win, with Henry Lawrence also a second-half substitute for the
hosts.
Bergstrom registered his seventh clean sheet of this maiden loan in senior
football the previous weekend in a 3-0 victory over Port Vale, with Grant
McCann's men now just outside the play-off positions in the third tier.
Elsewhere in the same division, Bryan Fiabama played an hour for Forest
Green Rovers in a 3-2 defeat at Burton Albion, having also featured in a
4-0 loss against Exeter City seven days earlier.
In League Two, Jayden Wareham was a late substitute for leaders Leyton
Orient in a 2-1 reverse to Newport County. The teenage striker bagged a
brace the week before in a victory over Sutton United in the Papa Johns
Trophy.
