The former associate pastor of a church in the Florida panhandle was arrested
in Dothan, Ala., and is expected to be charged with at least 10 counts of
lewd and lascivious acts on four children under the age of 12, according to
(Panama City) NewsHerald.com. William "Pete" Jackson McCullers, 64, fled
Washington County as authorities issued a warrant for his arrest Thursday
(June 4).

McCullers was arrested Thursday evening at a Dothan hotel after being spotted
in the area, the website reported. He was traveling with his wife, Linda
McCullers.

The suspect had been an assistant pastor at the Tabernacle of Praise Church
in Chipley, Fla. Lead pastor Victor Fisher, however, said McCullers hasn't
been a part of the church for three years, according to the website.
