嚴重扭曲了「因信稱義、寶血潔淨」的福音核心。孫牧師對照使徒行傳19章焚燒邪術書與
該教會燒自己罪單的根本差異，強調前者是棄絕外在偶像工具，後者卻形同將罪「燒給撒

This video is a serious biblical critique by a brother who has long followed
Chinese house churches, directed at Pastor Yu Hongjie, founder of Riverbank
Chinese Bible Church in Silicon Valley, USA, and his teachings. Drawing on
firsthand testimonies—including from a sister who once attended the church
and a pastor who recently arrived from mainland China—the speaker exposes
the “burning confession notes” meetings promoted by Pastor Yu and his wife
in recent years (in Shanghai adapted to shredders due to fire bans). He
argues that this practice essentially imports the pagan ritual of burning
paper offerings into the church, gravely distorting the gospel core of “
justification by faith” and “cleansing by Christ’s blood.”
Contrasting Acts 19 (where sorcerers burned their occult books) with burning
personal sin lists, the speaker stresses that the former was rejecting
external idolatrous tools, while the latter resembles “offering sins to Satan
” and falsely teaches that ritual destruction brings cleansing without
genuine repentance. The video further reveals the terrifying atmosphere of
these meetings: pitch-black darkness, a cross draped in white cloth
resembling a ghostly figure, raising serious questions about spiritual
influences behind the scenes. Such practices, the speaker contends, not only
blaspheme the precious blood of Christ but open a “shortcut outside the
gospel,” ultimately numbing consciences and leading believers away from the
true way.
Concluding with 2 Thessalonians 2:7–12, the speaker warns of the mystery of
lawlessness and the activity of evil spirits, urging brothers and sisters to
love the truth, diligently read Scripture, and pray fervently, lest they fall
into the “working of error” that causes people to believe lies. The outcome
of such deception, he stresses, is exceedingly fearful.
