[情報] 教育版 Google Drive 將不再提供無限空間

前些日子才傳出教育版的 Google Drive 要限制儲存空間，當時只是因為繁體中文的翻譯
錯誤導致大家誤會。

原始條款寫的是單一檔案限制最大 5 TB 空間，而非中文翻譯的帳戶最多 5 TB。

Google 於 2 月 17 日正式宣布[1]將 G Suite for Education 更名為 Google
Workspace for Education，並提四個不同的版本，分別為 Fundamentals[2]基礎，舊
稱 G Suite 教育版）、Standard[3]（標準）、Teaching and Learning Upgrade[4]教學
升級）和 Plus[5]專業，舊稱 G Suite Enterprise 教育版）。

除此之外，影響最多人的改變不外乎是 Google Drive 的儲存政策了。Google 表示過去
一直向學校免費提供儲存空間，但這些空間往往沒有得到公平的利用，學校的管理者也未
對空間進行管控，因此 Google 宣布將取消目前無限量儲存空間的政策，改為每間學校只
分配 100 TB 共用的儲存空間，並於 2022 年 7 月正式生效。

Google 表示現在全球有超過 1 億 7 千萬名的師生使用 G Suite for Education，新的
儲存空間政策可以存放將近 1 億個文件、800 萬個簡報或是 40 萬小時的影片，每間學
校的管理員可以依照新的政策來調整校內師生所分配的資源，Google 也將推出工具來幫
助管理員檢視已經使用的資源。
