Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish left Thursday’s spring training game with arm
concerns.

On March 6, Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reported Darvish would undergo an MRI on
his injured arm, the results of which the Rangers would have Saturday.

T.R. Sullivan of MLBlogs.com reported that “Yu Darvish was pulled from Thursday
’s start with tightness in his right triceps. It is not considered serious. He
will be re-evaluated tomorrow.”

That it is not considered serious has to be a relief for the Rangers
considering Darvish has been one of the team’s best pitchers over the past
three seasons. He finished 2014 with a 10-7 record and 3.06 ERA. He was even
better in 2013 with a 2.83 ERA.

However, it is concerning that Darvish is already dealing with arm issues.

He was shut down for the stretch run of the season last year with a lingering
elbow injury. He pitched only 144.1 innings and is undoubtedly hoping for
better health in 2015.
