Tacada的思緒周詳.謝謝.就lack practice本題來說,我的建議是對的.但就中文原句的含
義來說,並不適用,因為該句如譯成英文,難以出現lack practice連在一起的情形.如照中
文「缺乏練習」直譯成英文lack practice,在該句並不恰當.台大高照明教授曾在拙編的
一本英漢對照新書中說:『在學習外語時,需要注意詞和詞的組合有習慣用法,不能按照中
文直接翻譯成英文.例如中文說大雨,英文則是heavy rain.中文說老煙槍,英文是heavy
smokers或chain smokers.直接將中文逐字譯成英文就會有問題.為學習語言而閱讀和寫作
時,需要多查閱搭配語辭典,才能學會道地的英文習慣用法.』對「這項考試我缺乏練習」
這句中文,我的建議譯法是:I didn’t do enough practice tests for the actual
exam.或者I lack in (taking) enough practice tests for the real exam.就教於諸
