請問大大以下考題:
Jane is taller than ___ girls in the class.
(A) any
(B) any other
(C) all the other
答案為C
我的解釋方法:
(1)any +可數 或 不可數 名詞，文法沒問題，
但any girls 包括Jane，所以不選(A)。
(2)比較對象同範圍時(Jane 和 女孩們都在同一班)
any other +單數名詞=all the other +複數名詞
因為girls 是複數，因此C 正確
(B) 應改成 any other girl.
請問以上的解釋正確嗎?
主要想釐清 any other 和 all the other 的用法
