[請益] 「你覺得答案應該是什麼」翻成英文是？

大家好，想請教大家一句中文語句翻成英文怎麼翻譯．

我一開始寫了一封信給對方，問了８個問題，
對方回了我一句＂What you want for your 8 questions？＂
我對這個問句的意涵稍有疑惑，於是我打算從兩種角度回答，
1.對方是問我「你為什麼要問這８個問題？」
　（Why did you ask these 8 questions？）
2.對方是問我「你希望得到什麼答案？」
　（這就是我問的，我不會翻，請板友教我一下，
　　我想到的是
　　＂Which answers should you think to be for these 8 questions？＂
　　及＂Which answers do you think they are for these 8 questions？＂
　　我目前比較傾向後面那句，因為我記得＜葉問２＞裡面有個外國人說過
　　＂Who do you think you are？＂這句話）

→ ntuyeh: 還沒給answer可選的選項應該不是which   是what吧
ntuyeh 大您好，會用 which 是因為我以前有看過一篇文章，
主題是講台灣人常會誤用的英文，其中一句是中文常會翻譯成＂...什麼＂的，
也是沒給選項，而文章就說了國人常誤翻為 what...，正確的翻法應該用 which...才對
不好意思我一時也找不到那篇文章在哪了．．．

所以是「Why did you ask these 8 questions？」的意思嗎？
