這是60秒"Happy New Solar Ellipse"的文章,其中句子一直看不太懂那個which之後的文法,except在這邊的作用?

這句子他(科學家)發現地球在近日點時轉比較比遠快,這說明了夏天被壓縮....(看不懂了)_
