[求譯] 一路下跌該怎麼說？

想請問大家，要描述民意一路持續下跌的情形該怎麼說？
大概就是想描述折線圖一路下跌的那種感覺，
最簡單的用法應該是：
It shows the decreasing trend.
不過好像沒有那種感覺，
如果是用meltdown呢？
可以這樣表示下跌到有崩潰的感覺嗎？
