想請問引用改寫的文法

"I went to school this morning and I was late" Tom said.

a) --> Tom said he had gone to school this morning and he had been late.

b) --> Tom said he went to school this morning and he was late.

我是覺得(a)才是正確的

還是b也可以?

推 softseaweed: b一定可以 因為只是把tom說的話名詞換一換而已

Tom原本用過去式描述，為什麼不用 he had gone to ?

"I go to school and I am late" Tom said.
--> Tom said he went to school and he was late.


"I went to school this morning and I was late" Tom said.
--> Tom said he had gone to school this morning and he had been late.

按已給例舉改謝，上述不才對嗎?
