眼博士字典上關於 rather than 的用法說明： rather than 是從屬連接詞, 引導比較副詞子句, 而且這個子句一般是省略的。從意義上可表示主觀願望的選擇, 指寧願...而不願, 還可表示客觀事實, 指是前者而不是後者; 從結構上, rather than連接兩個平行的結構, 如兩個形容詞, 副詞片語, 名詞, 代名詞, 不定詞, 動名詞等。我寫了以下這個句字(請注意"..."部分) Allowing the administration to fend for itself, rather than continually "making efforts to" promote the political reform, might be more logical and constructive. 中譯：讓這個政府自生自滅，而非繼續努力去推動政治改革，也許是更符合邏輯並有建設性的。句子卻被美國人改成： Allowing the administration to fend for itself, rather than continually "have to make efforts to" promote the political reform, might be more logical and constructive. 究竟哪句是對的呢？ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc), 來自: 114.38.122.75 ※ 文章網址: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/Eng-Class/M.1436677199.A.1B5.html
