[文法] 所有格代名詞

最近看到一個問題

Is Kevin a friend of _____.

我認為應該是填 you

可是答案卻給 yours?

我的認知上 yours 不是表示 your friends 嗎？

那填上 yours 變成

Is Kevin a frend of yours.

不就變成 Kevin 是你的朋友(yours=your friend) 的朋友(a friend of) 嗎？

這樣解釋不是很不怪嗎

請大大們指教

推 dashihito: 關鍵字：雙重所有格。這邊你只要想成是one of your fri
→ dashihito: ends的friend跟前面one結合成one friend(a friend)，
→ dashihito: 但若直接變成"a friend of your"很奇怪（畢竟是你的＂
→ dashihito: 朋友＂中的一個朋友），所以your還是得使用所有格代名
→ dashihito: 詞：yours。
