今天遇到了兩個題目
1.I would like to make it quite/simply clear that we are just good friends.
我選quite，答案是simply
2.Well I think it's _____ not possible to predict these things.
(A) completely (B) simply (C) utterly
我選A 答案是B
我查了牛津線上字典(英英)
simply 跟 quite 跟 utterly 都有 completely, absolutely的意思
查 completely 有 utterly 的意思(迴圈!?)
請問這幾個單字該如何區分呢?
題目來源是Advanced Language Practice by Micheal Vine 一書
