[文法] Whereby的用法

最近看到一句英文
Post-deduct inventory transaction processing(後減庫存處理法)is a method of
inventory bookkeeping "whereby" the inventory quantity is reduced according
to usage.

句子裡的whereby上網查他說是副詞，可是小的有點好奇她有沒有其他文法
而且whereby 是修飾前面的bookkeeping嗎?還是is?
它翻譯成"藉以"也是滿怪的  求英文魔人解惑  感恩!!
