[文法] IF S+V, S+V的結構

小的最近在寫GMAT的OG

遇到有一題的正解長這樣

Starfish, with anywhere from five to eight arms, have a strong regenerative
ability, and if one arm is lost it is quickly replaced, with the animal
sometimes overcompensating and growing an extra one or two.

想問的是這個"if one arm is lost it is quickly replaced"

請問不用逗號分開lost跟it嗎?

好像都沒有看過這樣的寫法??
