[考題] neither of them..is or are?

        有一題考題如下：

Mr. White has two daughters.Neither of them is in Taipei now.

They went to Japan yesterday.

想問，為什麼答案不是are 而是 is

Neither of ...... 動詞是接單數還是複數?

要從誰去決定他的單複數動詞?

還是固定用單數動詞?
