[請益] 看美劇 GoT S06E10 一個句子的疑問

在倒數第三幕, 眾人擁護 Jon 為北境之王那段, 其中一位領主的台詞是
"there will be more fights to come..."

我對這句一直想不懂, 不是應該用 there will be more fights coming
才符合文法嗎? 用 to come 是慣用法還是有特殊解釋? 請教各位高手.
