標題[文法] 詞典中"fountain pen"的解釋

大家好，請教一下
在柯林斯詞典中查" fountain pen "，看到這樣的解釋：
A fountain pen is a pen which uses ink that you have drawn up inside it from
a bottle.
這個解釋如果是這樣看
A fountain pen is a pen which uses ink "inside it from a bottle".
或這樣看
A fountain pen is a pen which uses ink "that you have drawn up".
我都還能理解。但兩者合在一起就會覺得，"it"應該是指"pen"，卻距離得好遠。
然而如果是這樣寫：
A fountain pen is a pen which uses ink inside it from a bottle that you have
drawn up.
"it"離"pen"的距離是拉近了，可是"that you have drawn up"卻離"ink"遠了，會人誤以
為是修飾"bottle"。
因此這句子實在沒有更好的寫法，現在這樣只能說是不得已的辦法。
我的理解是否正確呢？謝謝！

如果將it改成the pen，看起來不錯啊，不知會有什麼其他的問題呢？
難道是讀者會將from a bottle誤以為是修飾inside the pen的the pen嗎？
