怕討論串混亂，所以分開問 (2/2)

請問高手們一個英文文法問題
(就算不是高手也歡迎參與討論)

有關either...or...與both......and.....的問題

現在接著請問一下both....and.....的部分

例句一：
Both you and your dad will pay for your mom.
(你跟你爸都會幫你媽付錢)

 我覺得「Both you and your dad」是當句子的主詞
(因為both沒有副詞性質，both當限定詞或是代名詞)

但是我不確定我講的對不對

請各位高手指教一下
