標題[請益] 受詞補語的選擇

一般來說 受詞補語可以放v-ing adj 名詞 不定詞 p.p 等等
請問要怎麼分辨什麼時候使用哪一種當受詞補語呢
舉個例子
The boss wants our proposal___ next Monday
空格中是要用to hand in 還是用handed in 呢??
我想proposal不會繳交自己
所以handing in就被我去掉了
但剩下2個我不太清楚要用哪個
