這句話的翻譯是羅馬皇帝想連結其他遠離首都的地區
一般的句型是 A be connceted to B
在這裡A被省略 想知道為什麼?是因為後面有capital 的關係嗎
可以解釋成 capital be connected to their provinces 嗎?
這樣省略 好像容易造成閱讀上的困擾
另外不能寫成
the emperors were trying to connect to their provinces far from the capital 嗎?
這樣好像又有點太中文式的思考了
