標題[文法] 詞典中的Over 80,000 people attended

大家好，請問一下在朗文詞典中的make條目看到以下例句： Over 80,000 people attended, making it the biggest sporting event in the area. 我一開始認為Over 80,000 people attended是個介系詞片語，就是的後面it所指的內容。但是又想了一下，attended應該是動詞沒錯，那介系詞片語怎麼會有動詞呢？於是後來我認為，80,000 people應該是主詞，attended是動詞，所以第二個動詞就用分詞的形式 making來處理。不過這樣一來，Over在這裡既然不是介系詞，那又是什麼詞性呢？我查過，over當形容詞和副詞時似乎沒有「超過」的意思？另外，it應該是代指Over 80,000 people attended，可是就我的認知，it應該代替一個「名詞類」的東西，能代替一個句子嗎？（因為Over 80,000 people attended並不是以名詞子句的形式出現。）所以三個問題： 1. 抱歉，確實是我說錯了，over當副詞是有「超過」的意思，可是用法似乎不是這樣用的。牛津 children of 14 and over You get an A grade for scores of 75 and over. 朗文 Almost 40% of women are size 14 or over. People earning ￡33,000 and over will pay the higher rate of tax. 劍橋 People who are 65 years old and over can get half-price tickets. 從上可見，都是以and over、or over的形式出現。和我問的那句朗文的例句不同，所以我還是認為我原本問的那句，over應該不是副詞。 ※ 編輯: scju (1.160.80.16), 10/27/2017 00:22:13
