值得注意的是第一點後半部:
They can also be used to talk about things which we know are not true.
例:
I feel as if/though I'm dying.
She was acting as if/though she was in charge
這兩個例句都表示「非事實」,但時態並沒有「退後一步」。
再搭配底下第二點:
When we talk about things which we know are not true, we can use a past tense
with a present meaning after "as if/though". This emphasises the meaning of
unreality.
它說we "can" use a past tense ...,因此我認為這表示「可以」,但不強制。
綜合上述,我認為"as if/though"表示「非事實」時,後面的時態要不要「退後一步」
應該都可以。
