[請益] 外國網友回答的... by 'not' writing

各位好，想請教一下

但有些我看不太懂：

your own question.

In the context, you are asking whether "mention" is a verb similar to "like,
wish, etc". No, it isn't. If you are commenting on what someone is doing now,
you would say, "He is mentioning it now."
→他的意思是說，照我後來補充的情境來看，mention在那個情境中並不是靜態動詞，所
以可以進行式來表達？

But you haven't given a proper context, so others have replied, just as
validly perhaps, that you could say "He mentions it now". 'Mention' is not a
stative verb.
→他的意思是說，如果沒有給出適當的情境，"He mentions it now"也有可能是正確的？
但他後面又補充一句'Mention' is not a stative verb. 是想表達什麼？

PS 其實我在那裡想問的就是，"mention"能不能用於進行式？就這麼簡單而已。
但他們好像都習慣要發問者給出一個情境，而我想像一個情境之後，他們似乎又不太
能理解@@a。

如果我用中文來問，我會這樣問：

"mention"能不能像watch, eat一樣用於進行式？譬如我們可以說
He is watching TV.
He is eating.

那我們可不可以這樣說？
He is mentioning his idea.

有時候覺得用英語跟老外溝通真辛苦，不曉得是我陳述有問題，還是中英文母語人士的
思維邏輯不同QQ？

比如像這樣：

我看到Tom又再度對Mary講起，他計畫到海邊出遊的事。
所以我說，「Tom正在和Mary提起他那個已經講過幾百次的構想。」

我想他這個回應大概可以解釋mention不用進行式的理由(即使mention不是靜態動詞)，
所以還是回到我原本問題，請教Raymott想表達的意思。謝謝！

那我就是在回答自己的問題了？這是什麼邏輯@@？

其實我覺得Raymott可能沒弄懂我想表達的意思。

一開始我是寫：

Please look at the sentences of mine:

a. Now He is mentioning the idea.
b. Now He mentions the idea.
---------

Which one is correct? Could you tell me your opinion?

後來我又補上：

Actually I want to know if 'mention' can be used statively. For example, if
someone is talking about an idea, should we say (a) or (b)?

我之所以寫"if someone is talking about an idea, should we say (a) or (b)?"
就是想要來類比，如果某人「正在」談論某想法，我們應該說他

a. Now He is mentioning the idea.
b. Now He mentions the idea.

也就是，mention是指「提及」，那這個字如果用來描述當下正在發生的行為，可以用
進行式嗎？

我想表達的意思是這樣，所以我talk和mention都用了進行式，
目的就是在同樣的狀態下來類比。

所以我就不懂Raymott說：by 'not' writing" If someone talks about an idea, should
 we say (a) or (b)?" you are answering your own question.

到底想表達什麼？他可能沒抓到我之所以要用talking的意思吧？

感覺我們兩人有點在雞同鴨講@@a
