Martin is the man. (Martin就是那個人)
I can depend on the man for help. (我可以依賴那個人(Martin)獲得幫忙)
兩句重複的地方就是the man(也就是先行詞是the man)，
所以第二句的the man用關代來代替，而the man在第二句扮演的角色是受詞，
先行詞為人，又是受詞(格)的功用，故關代用whom/that/who都可
合併後就變Martin is the man whom I can depend on for help.
Martin就是那個我可以依賴獲得幫忙的人。
depend on為依賴、依靠的意思，
A depend on B：A依賴(依靠)B
所以depend on後面要有一個受詞，當你缺少受詞時，就是一個不完整的句子。
