標題[請益] anything but後面不加受詞的意思？

anything but的意思大概是「絕不...」
例如：Ｌife is anything but fair.
人生絕不是公平的
但問題來了，當anything but後面是句點時，到底是什麼意思呢？
例如：Details are anything but.
It is anything but.
查遍了google，還是搞不清楚T^T
Details are anything but.
是細節不算什麼？細節代表一切？還是其他意思？
