在看Times “I'm Not There” 影評時
我看到這樣一個句子

Vulnerable as Mr. Dylan is to misunderstanding
, he also actively solicits it.

我大致可以翻譯成
Dylan容易被誤解，但他還是積極地追尋這種容易被誤解的狀態

想請教英文高手語意理解，文法和句構上幾個問題

(1)
Vulnerable as Mr Dylan is to misunderstanding,
這句中 to + Ving 是 當成一個名詞使用來使用嗎？ 解釋成 “被誤解”嗎？

如例句 to + Ving當成一個名詞
His addiction to gambling has caused a lot of stress for his family.

(2)
這個句子為什麼沒有連接詞來銜接兩個句子呢？
